MMTC held its annual conference last week drawing in an impressive and diverse crowd of professionals from the telecommunications and technology sphere. Discussions ranged from broadband and social justice issues to minority digital entrepreneurship and building a start-up company. Keynote speakers included FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski, FCC Commissioners McDowell, Baker, and Clyburn, Congressman Bobby Rush, and Senator Robert Menendez, among others.
MMTC is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving equal opportunity and civil rights in the mass media and telecommunications industries and is generally recognized as the nation’s leading advocate for minority advancement in communications. The organization is committed to ensuring that changes in communications technology and the new global forms of media partnerships enhance diversity on the 21st century.
